Abstract

This paper explores the educational policies and implementation politics, highlighting their significance in shaping the educational landscape. The study emphasizes the importance of educational policies in promoting equity, quality, and accountability within educational systems. It discusses how policies reflect societal values and priorities, facilitating cultural transmission and socialization. Additionally, the paper examines the role of educational policies in addressing social inequalities, enhancing economic development, and fostering political stability. By analyzing the interplay between policy formulation and implementation, this paper underscores the necessity for inclusive and adaptive educational policies that respond to the evolving needs of society. Ultimately, the paper advocates for collaborative governance that engages various stakeholders in the policy-making process, ensuring that educational policies serve the best interests of all learners and contribute to sustainable development. the following challenges were identified to include lack of funding, bureaucratic inefficiencies, political interference, resistance to change, inequality in access, inadequate data and research, outdated curriculum, insufficient teacher training, fragmented policy framework, limited stakeholder engagement. Suggestions for improving educational policies and implementation politics to include: increase funding, streamline bureaucracy, and promote political accountability to encourage change management in education.
